Thermal Shock Test Chamber

Thermal Shock Test Chamber

Thermal shock chambers are designed to expose products to rapid temperature changes between extreme hot and cold zones. This process helps identify how materials and components respond to sudden thermal stress, revealing potential weaknesses or failure points. They are commonly used for evaluating reliability, durability, and compliance with industry standards.

Our temperature and humidity test chamber models comply with the following standards:
  • EN IEC 61000-6-2:2019
  • EN IEC 61000-6-4:2019
  • EN 61010-1:2010+A1:2019
    1. TS Series Two-Zone Thermal Shock Test Chamber
    2. TS Series Two-Zone Thermal Shock Test ChamberA two-zone thermal shock chamber transfers samples between separate hot and cold sections to create immediate temperature changes. This method is essential for uncovering hidden defects, validating product durability, and ensuring components can tolerate rapid thermal stress during use. View Details
    1. TS Series Three-Zone Thermal Shock Test Chamber
    2. TS Series Three-Zone Thermal Shock Test ChamberA three-zone thermal shock chamber uses separate hot, ambient, and cold sections to expose products to extreme temperature changes in seconds. Unlike designs where samples move between chambers, this thermal shock test system keeps the product fixed in place while air flows switch automatically, reducing vibration and ensuring more accurate measurements. The chamber can operate in both two-zone and three-zone modes, depending on the test requirements. View Details

How does a thermal shock chamber differ from a temperature and humidity chamber or a rapid thermal cycle chamber?

The main difference is in how the temperature changes are applied to the sample. Thermal shock chambers create an immediate and extreme transition from hot to cold without any gradual ramp. This sudden exposure helps reveal weaknesses that may not appear under slower transitions. In comparison, temperature and humidity chambers and rapid-rate thermal cycle chambers change the temperature at controlled rates over time, so there is always a transition period instead of an instant shift.

What is the difference between three zone and two zone thermal shock chambers?

Three zone chambers are suitable for samples that are sensitive to vibration or require testing while powered, such as precision electronics or automotive components. They also handle frequent, continuous shock cycles more effectively. Two zone chambers are designed for small samples like chips or plastic parts that are less affected by vibration and where quick thermal shock testing is the priority.
